Can You Choose Your Own House With RTO?
I'm sure you're wondering: can you choose your own home when working with our Clover Rent to Own (RTO) program?
Simply put: yes.
Of course, some parameters must be met for EVERY home buyer, RTO or not. We need to consider your budget, the type of home you are looking for, neighbourhood suitability, etc., but we don’t start with a stock of homes to sell once we find rent-to-own buyers.
Instead, we work with a RTO buyer to bring them into our program and ensure they are financially qualified (and in a suitable position overall) to begin our RTO process. THEN we start the home buying process—with a qualified REALTOR(R) such a myself—just like with any other home buyer.
Once you find a home that works for both your lifestyle and your budget and—most importantly–that you love, then one of our investors purchases the home and you begin the RTO process. The end goal is for you to obtain your own mortgage from an ‘A’ lender in 3–5 years, all the while staying in the home you’ve chosen yourself.
We prefer to work this way because owners who love their homes tend to be happier in them and are also more committed to the RTO program and ultimately more likely to be successful in purchasing their homes in their own names.
